BVI Sample Itinerary

Day One – About 530PM – Board your catamaran at the charter base on Tortola and meet your Skipper and Chef/1st mate (if your charter includes a Chef/1st mate). Settle in to your home for a week in the BVI. Enjoy a welcome aboard drink and appetizers. Dinner ashore at one of Tortola’s excellent restaurants – like Red Rock .

Day Two – After breakfast, we will get underway for a short easy sail to Deadman’s Bay, Peter Island. This bay is an excellent spot to get used to snorkeling while swimming with turtles and enjoying the calm crystal clear water. Explore one of the BVI’s finest beaches. After lunch, sail on to The Bight, Norman Island to explore the Treasure Caves and, perhaps the infamous floating bar – The Willy T and/or The Bight bar/restuarant .

Day Three – sail in the morning over to White Bay, Jost Van Dyke. With the boat anchored right off the beach – you can swim ashore to the Soggy Dollar bar (home to the infamous Painkiller drink)and explore the variety of world famous beach bars or just enjoy the beautiful white beach. Take a break from the sun with lunch possibly at Gertrude’s. Later in the day we will move less than a mile to Great Harbour. Before dinner – explore the “town”. After dinner, if you want some dancing – Foxy’s is the spot!

Day Four – we will sail east to Scrub Island Resort & Marina Enjoy a lunch at the outside terrace beside one of the 3 pools. After lunch – perhaps it is time for the Spa. relax by the pool or explore the north beach. If this is a Full Moon Cruise, then after dinner -take the free water taxi to Trellis Bay for the Full Moon Party or just relax at the resort marina.

Day Five – after a quick breakfast, we are off to the east end of Virgin Gorda. If available, we will spend a few hours on a private tour of Necker Island and then perhaps a stop at 3 palm island with the afternoon at Oil Nut Bay.

Day Six – a morning sail out to Anegada to explore some of the 14 miles of unspoiled beach. Dinner that night on shore for a delicious lobster or seafood experience. After dinner, you can do some dancing at Potters by the Sea or lay on the bow trampoline on board and gaze at the stars.

Day Seven – sail back to the west side of Virgin Gorda to Valley Trunk Bay – another beautiful beach with good snorkeling. Mid afternoon, we will go to the Baths to walk through the giant boulders and tide pools between Devils bay and The Baths main beach. Afterwards, a mile away is Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbour – our berth for the night. Sunset and dinner at Coco Maya – one of the finest restaurants in the Caribbean.

Day Eight – a short sail back to the charter base to disembark after a week that went by too quickly!
